“Alan and his band Pyrenesia were the best decision I made for my wedding by far. They were quite honestly the stars of the whole show. He not only learned a particular piece that I walked down the aisle to, but also the whole band learned a last minute song for our first dance and it was perfect. Alan and the band have a very professional, stream lined method worked out, they played at a perfect volume and I just can’t say enough positive things about them. Again best choice I could have made for my wedding and I would one hundred percent recommend him and Pyrenesia.” -Pam and Nick, 9.23.17

“Alan’s music was one of my favorite things about our wedding. He is an amazing artist and also a wonderful “vendor” to work with…We were so thankful for his speedy replies, professionalism, and accommodating our singer-friends that he accompanied. He put the extra time in to practice and correspond with them for our ceremony. Alan has a great list of songs for weddings and you can listen to some from his site/youtube. We are forever fans and highly recommend him!” -Jenna and Aaron, 8.18.17

“Alan was so helpful and professional in the entire process of helping us pick songs and learning a few of our favorites. He played our ceremony music and I can’t imagine our day without it! I walked down the aisle to a song that honored my late father, and it was wonderful to see family members down the aisle gasp, tear up, and smile knowing he was included. It is such a special moment that makes up such a wonderful day. Thank you again Alan!” -Megan and Matt, 7.29.17

“Alan played our ceremony and reception at Morris Arboretum in June. He was perfect for both. We didn’t want a loud band and we wanted something more personal than a DJ during the reception. He was super easy to work and communicate with, responding to emails quickly. He also doesn’t charge a fortune like a lot of other wedding musicians do. My wife and I highly recommend him for your wedding!” -Andrea and Joe, 6.23.17

“I found Alan online after our violinist fell through. I sent my fiancé the link to his youtube videos and we both agreed he was super talented. After contacting him, we discovered he is laid back and easy to work with. It was fate because he was actually playing our venue that weekend! We did a telephone consultation to go over our song selections. We picked some from his very extensive list and he learned a new one for us. I can’t actually remember hearing anything while walking down the aisle (nerves) but the music sounds beautiful during the video clips.” -Kaitlin and John, 4.21.17

“Alan was an absolute pleasure to work with. He prepared a special song we requested for our ceremony and played our cocktail hour. Our guests had nothing but amazing feedback to give us about Alan. “Alan was our musician for our backyard wedding earlier in July 2016, and I can’t say enough positive things about him! I heard Alan play in college years ago and when I started my wedding plans one of the only things that I knew for sure was that I wanted him to play for us that day. As a musician myself and someone who worked in arts administration I have not always had positive experiences coordinating with artists, but I can say that Alan is definitely an exception! He was prompt, professional, and I had full confidence in him – he was one of the very few details of my wedding I didn’t have to worry about! Not only is Alan a very talented guitarist in a variety of genres, he also has an excellent voice. He arranged a few tunes for us as a request (as well as sent us recordings for our approval) and was very accommodating throughout our entire correspondence. My husband’s father wanted to sing a song during the ceremony and Alan arranged the music and also coordinated a time to practice with him to ensure everything would go smoothly that day. I couldn’t have asked for anything more – thanks so much Al!” -Autumn and Mike, 7.3.16

“Alan played the guitar for both our ceremony and our cocktail hour at Brookmill Farm in Lambertville, NJ. This venue is outdoors and Alan was able to easily figure out the logistics of the venue without any problems. Before our wedding, I had given Alan a few suggestions of songs that I would like played, and they were songs he was not familiar with. He emailed me promptly back and thanked me for allowing him to learn some new songs. He even sent me a recording of the processional songs so that I could hear them before the wedding. He was amazing to work with, and he is incredibly talented. I would recommend Alan to anyone, and brides would be so lucky to have Alan with them on their special day.” -Ali and Zak, 8.11.15

“Alan played for our guests as they waited for our wedding ceremony to begin, and then he played for the processional and recessional. He was extremely professional and available to answer emails, and he did an amazing job. He sorted out the sound system with the DJ, and I didn’t have to worry about a thing! Our wedding had a rustic feel in a converted winery barn, and the acoustic guitar sounded amazing. It really set the mood. I highly recommend his services!” -Patti and Phillip,  3.28.15

He came early to set up his equipment and then all this lovely sound came pouring out! Great selection of songs and recommendations for the processional and recessional. I would recommend him to anyone.” -Ellen, Mother of the bride, 11.15.14

“We had the privilege of having Al play at our wedding in September 2014. Our wedding was on a farm, and we wanted some nice, low-key acoustic music for the ceremony and cocktail hour. Having made that decision, we immediately thought of Al, and he was happy to provide music for us. He played both the ceremony and cocktail hour, and he was absolutely perfect for what we were looking for. Al is an incredibly talented guitarist who will work with you to play what you want. He also has a library of music to choose from should you find yourself coming up short on ideas. He played a variety for us – some classics (like the Beatles), some classical, some bossa nova – and they were all great. The best part, though, is that Al is a really great guy – he’s responsive, kind, he listens to your concerns & suggestions, and he is genuinely lovely to work with. I am so glad that we had him at our wedding!!” -Holly and John, 9.13.14

“We discovered Alan when he was playing at a wedding in Central Park, and decided he would be perfect for our daughters wedding which was also going to be in Central Park
It was very easy liaising with Alan by email, and he was very accommodating of special requests including creating a guitar version of a song our daughters fiancée especially wanted . Our guests all commented on how much they enjoyed Alan’s playing and how it set the scene for the occasion.
We would certainly use Alan again if we had the opportunity.” -Jo, Mother of the Bride, 8.21.14

“What a lucky find! He can play anything, including an obscure alternative rock song I wanted to walk down the isle to. He had a beautiful way of interpreting songs and making them feel perfect for our day. He worked with our request and had some great suggestions to fill in the gaps making it an overall great experience.” -Tara and Forrest, 8.11.14

“Alan performed during our cocktail hour outside for our wedding. Not only did Alan play classical pieces but he also performed fingerstyle jazz standard arrangements which were incredibly tasteful to everyone’s ear. He is as professional as he is musical. Bravo Al!” -Erin and Anthony, 9.21.13

“Alan was wonderful! He has great suggestions and listens to what you want. Our ceremony music was perfect and I would definitely recommend him to friends and family. ”  -Ellen and Anthony, 9.13.13

“It couldn’t have been a better ceremony and I have you to thank for making the music absolute perfection. I still remember approaching the entrance to the ceremony, and upon hearing Manha de Carnival, the wave of emotion when whole thing became real to me . I still can’t believe that with a few emails, you executed the vision that I deliberated on for so long, all without meeting me beforehand. That’s a lot of trust to put into someone and you handled it with such ease. Besides all the complements I got from guests about your performance, my husband was especially appreciative that you played those Townes van Zandt songs when he was nearby during the cocktail hour. What a special touch to have learned them and known when to play them. I only wish I could have been freedup to enjoy your music more during your time at the wedding. I would recommend you to anyone in a heartbeat!”  -Trillion and Greg 8.17.13

“Alan – thank you so much for being a very important part of our day on June 1st. You are so talented. Your gift of music was something we will treasure for years to come. Every song you played was just perfect from the ceremony to the reception. We could not have asked for a better musician than you. Thank you for everything you did for us that day.” -Annette, mother of the bride, 6.1.13

“We hired Alan to play three very specific, non traditional songs at our wedding that he’s never played before. The only direction I had sent him was 3 links to Youtube- no sheet music, no key signature, nothing. Within a week, not only had he already mastered most of the pieces, he also sent us videos of how exactly they would sound. Being an amateur musician myself, I was absolutely floored at how beautiful and complex the pieces sounded given that he had just learned from watching YouTube! Alan clearly has a solid musical foundation and has a killer ear. Not only did the pieces already sound fantastic, the best part about Alan is his flexibility and willingness to take in recommendations from his clients. Given that music is very subjective and each musician has his/her own perspective, there were very specific dynamics I had envisions that I was afraid a talented musician like Alan wouldn’t be flexible on. However Alan quickly proved me wrong and exuberated an incredibly positive attitude in asking us for feedback. In fact, he sent us several videos again tweaking specific parts of the song to make sure that we were absolutely happy with the changes. I think that a talented musician like Alan with a humbling attitude is a rare find and we couldn’t have been happier with him!” -Susan and Brendan, 5.26.13

“We had a wonderful wedding day that was enhanced by the music of Alan Rigoletto. He played for our ceremony and reception. The ceremony was classy and the reception was light and fun. Prior to the day he was very responsive when we were making the preparations. Dealing with him was stress free. He was punctual and good natured. We very highly recommend Alan and are glad we chose him for our event.” -Deborah and David, 2.17.13

“Alan, I have never had anything go so perfectly to plan in my life. You were literally instrumental to the occasion and had a brilliant understanding of the sensitivity and the grandeur I aimed to achieve.

Alan Rigoletto Erika Koop PhotographyI have recounted the story more times than I can remember, and Jenny and I are still floating above the ground. My only regret is not being able to buy a Scottish Single Malt and put it in front of you.” -Alex and Jenny, 11.25.12

“Alan and Tom are fantastic!  They played our 10/21/12 wedding and we could not have been happier.  For our ceremony, we had given them a list of classic songs (Vivaldi, Bach, etc) and they played everything we requested beautifully.  For our cocktail hour, we gave little direction other than something “jazzy.”  The jazz set they put together was outstanding.  It helped provide the perfect atmosphere for guest mingling.  We received tons of compliments on the music. Alan and Tom are not only incredibly talented musicians, they are also wonderful people.  A joy to be around and have at your wedding or event.”  -Angela and Freddie, 10.21.12

“Alan and Tom are talented musicians and a great duo! They played at our wedding in August and put together a playlist we were really happy with. through Alan, we gave some direction with a handful of contemporary and classical songs we wanted worked in. other than that, we left the musical flow in their hands, and they were able to skillfully interpret everything from opera to bossa nova on acoustic guitar and violin. They sounded amazing and really impressed us, it was a seamless two and a half hours. our wedding ceremony was untraditional and they added the perfect mood to our evening. Also Alan was easy to plan with and a super nice guy.”  -Clara and Ken, 8.25.12
